About InnerVersations
InnerVersations, PLLC is a holistic therapy practice located in Greensboro, North Carolina founded by Cyndi Ixchele Aya (pronounced: Cindy E-Shell Ah-yah), a licensed clinical mental health counselor and certified Reiki Master. InnerVersations was created out of a sacred call and purpose that Cyndi Ixchele felt to help and assist people suffering from the hard places and challenges that life can present.
InnerVersations’ mission is to provide a sacred place where people can find solace and understanding while also learning strategies that will help to cultivate new ways of thinking and being so they can operate in ways that serve their whole selves. InnerVersations does this through various modalities that encourage clients to excavate old, hurtful stories, negative ways of thinking, and harmful internal conversations so they can replace them with new perspectives that illuminate a healthier way to live and to be. We trust our multimodal therapeutic approach to counseling will assist our clients in writing new stories and having stimulating internal conversations that result in a healthier way of being in their lives.
Our Services
Integrative Therapy is a holistic (mind, body, spirit) approach to counseling that allows us to center our client, combining various ideas and techniques, resulting in an alchemic prescription for healing. Listed below are some of our most used therapies.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT)
CBT is a form of psychological treatment proven to be effective for a range of problems. Its core principle is that psychological problems
are formed through faulty thinking and learned patterns of unhealthy behavior.
MINDFULNESS BASED COGNITIVE THERAPY (MBCT)
MBCT is a form of Cognitive Behavior Therapy modified to incorporate mindfulness techniques that encourage clients to be present to exist, mind, body, and spirit, in the here and now. This therapy employs breathing techniques, body scans, and various forms of meditation.

CLIENT CENTERED THERAPY
CCT centers the client and their experience. Creating a non- judgmental space where clients can be acknowledged and heard.
NARRATIVE THERAPY
Narrative Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that encourages clients to deep dive into their life stories. As clients narrate their stories, the therapist helps them to identify pieces or places in their stories that are prohibiting them from living healthy lives. Through such excavating practices, the therapist helps her clients to revise, restructure, and ultimately retell their narratives in what is traditionally called “restorying.”
SPIRITUAL AWARENESS
Spiritual Awareness therapy reconnects clients to their mind -body- spirit selves and relies on spirituality and/or religion to help clients explore their belief systems.
REIKI (pronounced ray-key)
Reiki is an energy healing modality that a certified reiki master uses to clear and balance chakras thus restoring and optimizing their function. In lieu of or in addition to a client’s medical procedure(s), reiki is a noninvasive healing practice.
